ADHD ASSESSMENT & CONSULTATION

Assessment and consultation services provide specialized feedback regarding an individual's or student’s strengths, relative weaknesses, and needs.

FORMAT OF SERVICES

  • Initial consultation with individual or student and parent(s) (1 hour)

  • Assessment of cognitive abilities, achievement performance, and any student trouble areas (3-6 hours)

  • Feedback session regarding client's abilities, performance, learning style, strengths and weaknesses (1 hour).

  • CATC will also provide a recommendation letter for accommodations to one's school or test administrator, if applicable.

  • Adult ADHD Assessment is also available for college, graduate students, and professionals.

COMMON REFERRAL QUESTIONS

  • What is IQ and what does this mean for my overall potential and learning style?

  • Do I have ADHD or Learning Disability?

  • How do I address current problems in school?

  • How can I reduce test-taking anxiety?

  • How do my emotions affect my performance (if at all)?

  • What are my strengths and weaknesses, and how do we maximize strengths to reduce weakness?

  • What are the best work/study habits for me?

Behavioral Assessment Package  ($950)*

With this assessment, you will be able to determine whether the individual meets behavioral criteria for ADHD or other mental health diagnoses (excluding intellectual disability).

  • ADHD

  • Emotional disturbance (depression/anxiety)

  • Other behavioral issues (oppositional defiant disorder/conduct disorder)

  • If applicable, recommendations for accommodations due to behavioral/emotional difficulty (e.g. 10 minute breaks, quiet environment free of distraction) can be requested using information provided by this assessment

  • 30-minute detailed feedback session included

  • Recommendations for treatment, study habits, and appropriate referrals included

Full Assessment for ADHD ($3500-$4500)*

This package includes all services provided in the Behavioral Assessment Package and assessment for intellectual ability.

  • Cognitive assessment (IQ testing) for a baseline of intellectual strengths and weaknesses

  • Computerized test for objective information regarding strengths and weaknesses in attention

  • Test of Executive Functioning are included to measure ability to control impulses, retrieve information, organize, and plan. 

  • Screening for Audio/Visual Processing Disorder difficulties (conditions that can be/are often co-occurring with ADHD. 

  • Assessment recommendations can be used to guide/facilitate treatment (e.g. show evidence of ADHD to receive medication from a psychiatrist or PCP). 

  • Included in the $3500 package: Detailed summary briefly describing strengths, weaknesses, and general recommendations.

  • Included in the $4500 package: Full report discussing and breaking down strengths, weaknesses, personal recommendations, and treatment planning. Raw data and summary tables.

Full Assessment for Learning Disabilities ($4500-$5500)*

This package includes all services provided in the Full Assessment for ADHD and achievement testing needed to diagnose a Learning Disability.

  • Cognitive assessment (IQ testing) for a baseline of intellectual strengths and weaknesses

  • Achievement Testing to assess for Learning Disability.

  • Additional assessments focusing on memory, visual processing, and attention.

  • Oral Language assessment may be provided to rule in/out dyslexia or difficulties in language processing. 

  • Assessment will meet all criteria necessary to request accommodations from a school, university, or work setting.  

  • Full Assessment will meet all criteria necessary to request accommodations from a national examination board (SATs, MCATs, GRE, LSAT, etc.), if applicable.

  • Included in the $4500 package: Detailed summary briefly describing strengths, weaknesses, and general recommendations. Forms filled out for request of accommodations with schools. 

  • Included in the $5500 package: Full report discussing and breaking down strengths, weaknesses, personal recommendations, and treatment planning. Raw data and summary tables. Forms filled out for request for accommodations from a national exam board (SATs, MCATs, GRE, LSAT, etc.) and/or schools.

*Alternative arrangements can be made to accommodate financial constraints. CATC provides services at the standard rate of $250/hr, prorated for each fraction of the hour thereof.

* Check with your insurance company for possible reimbursement rates for psychological testing. Codes (units) for testing are as follows: 90791 (1), 96136 (1), 96137 (11), 96130 (1), and 96131 (7).
